Rooting Guide For HTC Desire ..

   Hi ! friends today I am going to tell you about the phone HTC Desire . If own a HTC you deserve more than you have ..Come learn how to root your HTC .
                 Now we shall move to the procedure .








PROCEDURE :PART I

1) We shall first download the files that are needed to root your phone . The files we are HTC Sync, Android USB driver ( hacked versions of HBOOT drivers which are very important to be installed before the actual process starts you can get them from HERE and HERE) and finally the most important is Unrevoked. (This the software which installs Clockwork Mod which is a Custom recovery mod )

2) Install the HTC Sync and then unistall it .( Keep in mind only the HTC sync as all the other ones are important in rooting which Unrevoked will use  )  






3) reboot your phone using the volume up and power button . A white sreen  will appear regarding info of your phone (and some menus too) .as you can see this is known as HBOOT menu (please insure HTC Sync is uninstalled ) . Connect your phone to PC and remember that the HBOOT USB PLUG is mentioned .  

4) "Android 1.0 " will be written in the Open Device Manager (there would be a exclamation mark too ). Right click it and select Update Driver software. "The Android USB Driver ( you downloaded in the first step ) select it and browse for the drivers . 
Note : The USB driver is a .zip file extract to your desktop and then select it. 









5)   Once your process is completed , the device manager will show  “Android Bootloader Interface"( as installed). Disconnect the USB and reboot the your phone and your pc too. 
 NOTE : rebooting your PC is very important .



             6) Hacked HBOOT drivers are installed ,so you need to run unrevoked and the phone is                 rooted . Go to settings > applications and enable "Unknown sorces " under the                             development menu also enable the "USB Derbugging mode "

7)\ Connect your phone to pc and select "charge only" when the type of connection is asked . 

8) Run the Unrevoked program as administrator ; it should detect the android cell phone (make sure the debugging is enabled !) and start the flashing process . 

NOTE: it will restrt your phone several times this is normal no need to worry

BUT ONCE IT IS DONE YOUR PHONE WILL BE ROOTED .
