Requirements

To root Micromax A45, first you need to download some software before you start rooting your device that are listed below. Just download and save them in a folder.

1.) PC

2.) Sp Flash Tool

3.)  Unlock Root

4.) Mtk-Drivers

5.) A45-Root.rar

Steps To Root Micromax A45 Punk

A.) First thing you need to do is to temporarily disable your Antivirus.

B.) Download all the attached files from above by downloading on each download image.

C.) Now you need to flash the insecure boot.img in your device.

Steps To Flash Insecure Boot.img File

1.) If you have already downloaded above attachments, then search for the MTK tools in the download directory.

2.) Extract the Mtk tools in a folder. Open that folder and then double click on InstallDriver.exe to install the drivers.

3.) Now search for the SP-Flash Tool that you have downloaded previously. Then extract it in a folder.

4.) Now open SP-Flash Tool by double clicking the Flash_tool.exe.

5.) Now when Flash Tool will be opened, just click on Options at top and then select USB Mode.

6.) Now again go to the options and then in DA download All and then select Disable DA download All.

7.) Now search for the A45-Root-Techfreeks.com. Extract it in a folder. After extracting you will get two files.

• MT6573_Android_scatter
• Rootedboot.img

8.) Now from the SP-Flash Tool click on File and then select Open Scatter-loading file. Now choose the MT6573_Android_scatter that you have extracted in previous step. After you will select that you will see something like the below image.

9.) After this just check the BOOTIMG and then click on BOOTIMG. It will ask you to browse the new boot.img. Just select the boot.img that has been extracted in step 7 named as Rootedboot.img. After doing all this the SP-Flash Tool will look like below image.

10.) Remove the battery from the phone. Wait for 10 sec and then re-insert the battery into the phone but don’t turn on the phone.

11.) Now Click Download or press f9 button on your keyboard.

12.) When Countdown will be start, be fast to connect USB first to PC and then to your mobile. Keep in mind your mobile must be switched off.

13.) Now the flashing process will start and when the yellow progress bar will show complete, a popup with green image will appear on screen.

14.) Congratulation! you have successfully flashed the insecure boot.img.

D.) Now take out the battery from the phone and then reinsert it inside. Now switch on your mobile.

E.) When the mobile will boot up, then Go to Settings>>Applications>>Development and check Enable Debugging there.

F.) Now again attach your phone using USB with your PC.

G.) Now search for the Unlock Root software that you have downloaded before. Open the installer and install it on your PC.

H.) Now open Unlock Root and then click on big green Root button.

I.) Now it will ask for Installing drivers. Click “Yes”. It will now install the ADB drivers.

J.) Now at last it will root your phone and will ask you to reboot your phone. Click “Yes”.

K.) Now when your phone will reboot. Check for an application in named as “Superuser” in your application drawer menu. If superuser app will be there, then this means your device is successfully rooted.
